Princess Seismograph is a band/arts collective/motley crew of cartoonist-minstrel-poets from Seattle. They produce defiantly home-made, childish, weird music, art, and poetry including the elegant and ethereal Strawberry Ghost comics, the #1 Supergay Zen Skiing Zine, which is just what it sounds like, and Marry Me, a chapbook of strangely bursting poems.

DinoFeast
Local metal overlord known variously as Noise Abatement Procedure, Hammerhagg, and Justin just released this uncover of our sweet little lullaby called Dinosaur Priest (if you don't know the original, you might want to watch this before listening to what follows ). It is a catasterpiece. We are greatly humbled and thankful.

We Put The Situation In The Show!
Helen and Cait and Jay here, addressing all our beloved friends, fans, and family.
The day has finally arrived - we've launched our kickstarter page to raise money for our new album and art book!
We're so very excited about this project, which will be crammed with basically everything we've created together over the course of our long adventures, and much more. We're recording a full-length album and releasing it (hopefully!) on vinyl, with a beautiful full-color art book to go with it (comics! drawings!). It's going to be amazing, and you can be part of it!
We are offering some great rewards for anyone who can contribute as little as $5 to our project - including hand-printed t-shirts, original artwork, custom poems, roles in an upcoming music video, and much more. Just take a look at the page to read more about our project and see all the rewards!
Most importantly, please watch our video, which Helen is particularly proud of.
If you can't contribute financially to our project but would like to support us, you can do us a world of good by forwarding this around - please share it with anyone who you think might dig our music, our art, or our haircuts.
Thanks for everything,
The Princess

TWO shows! Thursday and Friday!
Hey Seismonauts!
We the Princess have a very exciting, albeit last-minute, series of announcements!
We are playing TWO shows this week, TWO nights in a row - one on Thursday and one on Friday! These will be two of our most exciting shows ever! We swear we don't hide things from you until the last minute on purpose.
THURSDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER 27th (that's tomorrow, or tonight, depending on when you're reading this!)
You knew the day would come: Princess Seismograph is playing her own Salon. We have a huge exciting announcement and a bunch of cool songs up our sleeves!
But surely there are others at this Salon, you ask? Why yes! Join us on Thursday and you will meet
Van Choojitarom,
Maria Sputnik
and the Mongrel Jews
Choojitarom is an utterly unclassifiable writer with a Dadaist/burning-necktie performance streak; come emotionally prepared. Maria Sputnik is a comics artist and co-author of the cult hit 44 Presidents. (Here's a comic the two of them did together, Great Darkness National Park-- it's one of the best things we've ever read.) The Mongrel Jews are a mostly-family street-folk act of passion, intoxication, and drama; they're a band we love to play with and you will love to hear.
Here are the details:
We open doors at 7:30, and start at 8 pm. Cover is $5, getting you food, drink, and art. As always, the Salon will be held at the Third Space, ground floor back side of the INScape Building, 815 Airport Way S. in the International District.
You're welcome to BYOB and potluck to add to cheer. More information, as usual, at http://princessseismograph.blogspot.com/ !
and FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28th:
Together at last! Band/art collective/naturally-occuring hallucinogen PRINCESS SEISMOGRAPH and band/vocal and violin orgy/cynical party-in-a-can LANDLORD's DAUGHTER will be hosting a night of music, costume, stunt drawing and revelry at Cafe Racer on October 28th, 2011.
The live drawing, courtesy of Billis Helg and Carl Nelson, will begin at 8:30 PM, and the music will begin at 9 PM. The rock and the love, however, are forever.
Friday October 28th
at CAFE RACER in Seattle
(5828 Roosevelt Way NE
Seattle, WA 98105)
PRINCESS SEISMOGRAPH 9 PM
LANDLORD's DAUGHTER 10 PM
with live drawing by BILLIS HELG and CARL NELSON.
WOW! Brains in jars, comics, costumes, live stunt drawing, exciting secret announcement, famous Seismograph-recipe sangria - you gotta make at least one of these shows!
We, the Princess, love you.

The Inaugural Salon is Upon Us!
Hey Seismonauts! We're back and you know we missed us. Some of us took a little break to get married. But now for something completely different:
We are ever so proud to introduce, Princess Seismograph's Salon! (Click on that owl's face, go ahead.)
A new series of art/music happenings, readings, and shows - bringing together our favorite poets, cartoonists, bands, troubadours, video artists, and others from Seattle and everywhere else. We will be selecting three acts for each show - absolutely anything might happen.
This coming Friday is our very first Salon and it promises to be a fantastic time. Won't you join us?
(Addendum to the poster: due to sudden circumstances Jennifer Denrow will not be able to make it on Friday. We are working on lining up a new act to replace her and rest assured, there WILL be three performers and the new situation will be handpicked from the finest.)
